Some questions I thought up. I will post more if I think of them.
----------------
-What song do you enjoy playing live the most?
-How do the American crowds compare to the IAMX crowds in Europe?
-Who are some of the artists you have been listening to a lot recently?
-Why did you decide to stay an Indie artist? There are probably plenty of labels who would want to sign you.
-How are you enjoying America overall so far?
Ohh, nice contest Here are some of my questions (sorry, they're sometimes a bit long...)
---------
- We know that you usually do by yourself the videos used on stage as a background to your show, but do the images come naturally while you're composing the music? Or do they sometimes come first and, thus, inspire in some way the music?
- About those videos, the background video/animation for President used on stage is quite interesting. Are the animals we can see references to La Fontaine and its Fables? Does literature tend to inspire you, too?
- IAMX has a very theatrical aspect in videos or on stage, and we've already seen you in The Mighty Boosh or the Robots In Disguise video clip, G.I.R.L., with Noel Fielding; so, is theater or acting something you could be more implicated in in the future? You seem to be made for it!
- You've already worked with various other underground artists in Russia, or England, etc. ... but is it still something you could think of, should an exciting opportunity arise? Do you have to rather identify with the general artistic universe of an artist to work with him or do you just need to be interested in his work?
- Seeing your growing success, especially in Belgium, will you keep playing in small venues anyway or should we expect you to play in bigger and bigger concert halls throughout Europe?
- Everything really seems to be working well on stage with the current musicians, so are you thinking about keeping this 'team' now or may it still change from time to time in the future?
- You used to cover songs with the Sneaker Pimps, so is it also something you could try with the IAMX project? Maybe a new duet with Sue Denim?
- Have you ever thought about playing songs from the Chevaliers du Ciel soundtrack like You're the Conversation or We Rise live or is it something you consider as too different from IAMX to play during a show?
---------
Thanks a lot for everything, hope you will pick one or two of them
1. Concerning the feelings or experiences you describe in your lyrics, how much would you say is inspired by things that have been done to you and how much by things you've done to others?
2. What do you think of Patrick Wolf's music? Would you ever consider working with him?
Thank you for taking the time to do this, I wish you the best of luck for the rest of the tour! xx
It seems like Chris' music is so personal, I would ask him if there was ever a time in his career whn he had difficulty expressing himself. Like writer's block? But for music...

when you sound check... is it Chris Corner doing it or it it the alter ego IAMX? You talk about when you go on stage that you become this other person.. that the subconscious comes forward...so when you step off stage is it (the persona)suddenly gone or is it like coming down off an adrenaline rush and it kinda fades back to normalcy??

not so much a question...
i'd love to see an album released with two discs. one disc of upbeat, full-band, loud versions, and another of quiet, acoustic versions. one album, in two different interpretations. the songs could have a different names on each, rather than "version one" and "version two".
the sneaker pimps version of This Will Make You Love Again, and the i_am_x version is a perfect example of a how chris' songs can work in two 'dimensions'.

Hooverphonic did that They released the album 'No more sweet music' in dual disc version. If you don't know it, you should check that album out, because it's really nice. I think that there may be a chance that Chris will release 2 discs, like you suggested. In my interview he said that he likes homogenic albums and would like his to sound as one long song. So yeah, two seperate discs of the same album would be a great idea!
When you perform do you think any negative energy from that day you may have had dissolves as you let yourself go on stage? So not only does it make you interesting to watch for us but in a way is 'good' for you, I always feel better after a good sing, I can never stand still whilst I do, I dont understand people who do!

You've re-recorded songs you wrote while recording with the Sneaker Pimps as IAMX tracks, Kiss + Swallow, Missile, Etc . Are there plans to release other unreleased songs from the same era?
25/03 BIRMINGHAM / BARFLY
26/03 LEICESTER / THE CHARLOTTE
27/03 SHEFFIELD / THE CORPORATION
30/03 LIVERPOOL / CARLING ACADEMY
31/03 GLASGOW / KING TUTS
02/04 OXFORD / CARLING ACADEMY
03/04 LONDON / ELECTRIC BALLROOM
04/04 BEL'ZIK FESTIVAL / BELGIUM
Some musicians are meant to be heard but not seen - merely an auditory experience and nothing more. Berlin's IAMX, on the other hand, isnt merely a band... it's an event - a full-on aural and visual attack with the dynamic and inimitable Chris Corner (of Sneaker Pimps) leading the charge.
With the European marketplace going bonkers for his blend of dramatic synth-rock, darkness-infused pop, and intricately-constructed indie dance, IAMX has been headlining festivals in Austria, Belgium, CZ Rep, Poland, etc. and sharing the stage with Placebo, Franz Ferdinand, and The Cardigans among others. ike an 80s electro glam soundtrack to a Jan Svankmajer film or an almost unfathomable hybrid between the sexy swagger of Prince and the cool and collected respectability of Roxy Music, IAMX mixes Chris erotically-charged vocals with music that is, at once, frantic yet controlled.
With such strikingly cinematic songs as the waltzy drama of "President" to the percussive sexual predatory dirtiness of "The Negative Sex" to the indelibly infectious synthpop of the sweeping "Spit It Out", The Alternative is exactly just that - the alternative to the cookie-cutter music scene that dominates the airwaves. Considering the rabid reception he receives from his performances, it seems it's time for the masses to latch onto The Alternative.
Some questions I thought up. I will post more if I think of them.

Thank you for the show at cafe du nord... amazing... we can't wait to see what's posted about it
here are my questions I'd love to see answered.
what do fans do that annoy you and what is the sweetest thing a fan has done for you so far?
goodnight and thank you

What are you plans for the near future?
(Continue touring, and for how long/starting to record new Album/ New collaborations /Projects)
I also want to know if IAMX WANTS to come back to the states?
We LOVE him here and I would really like to see them develop a real fan base here.
It seems like Chris' music is so personal, I would ask him if there was ever a time in his career whn he had difficulty expressing himself. Like writer's block? But for music...
What are your "guilty pleasures" when it comes to music? (I have to admit I listen to Usher once in a while)
